Mayo day and Lá na gClubanna celebrations 1st May

To celebrate Mayo day and the GAA's Lá na gClubanna an afternoon of activities is planned in Davitt Park on Sunday 1st May starting at 2pm. 

 

The event starts off with the Golden Mile sponsored walk challenge which is open to the Clubs U8, U10, U12 and U14 boys and girls.

 

Achill GAA has been privileged to represent Mayo in the National Heathy Clubs Initiative. Achill GAA Loopers was formed and to date three village loops have been completed with a further eleven to be completed by the end of Summer. The GAA's National Health and Well Being Coordinator will be in attendance to launch the Healthy Club Project.


This will be followed by exhibition matches from our U8, U10 and U12s. At 3pm the Corn and Mhile Oir will be contested by our U12 boy’s v U14 girls. Our U6’s, our youngest Club members will make their debut on Davitt Park at half time.

 

It promises to be a day of fun and enjoyment. Club and county colours are encouraged!!
