Division 1C Round 4 Sun 14th, May 2017: Bonniconlon 2-9 CLG Acla 4-10 In the proverbial game of two halves, Achill were victorious after an enthralling encounter in north Mayo earlier today. In the first half it was all Bonniconlon, a successfully converted penalty just before the short whistle easing the hosts into a comfortable position at the break. Bonniconlon 2-6 CLG Acla 0-5. In a second half which saw the visitors outscore their opponents by 4-5 to 0-3, Achill were nothing short of amazing. Each player in the green and white had a contribution to make to the Achill recovery. A Pee Sweeney penalty set Achill on their their way. Micky D McNamara emulated all scoring contributions today, raising the green flag on no less than three occasions, during that second half scoring fest, which saw Achill run out winners in Bonniconlon after a 14 point turnaround |
