The launch of our second annual Croke Park to Davitt Park fundraising
cycle in aid of Croi and Achill GAA took place in the Achill Sound Hotel on 12th
February 2013.
Twenty cyclists have
signed up for this year’s cycle which will take them 280 km from the east to
west coast! The cycle leaves Croke Park at 7am on Saturday 6th April
and we hope like last year our Dublin based Achill community come to support our
cyclists as they set off. There will be an overnight stay in Ballaghahderreen
on Saturday April 6th and the cycle will complete its final leg on
Sunday April 7th and arrive in Davitt Park at approximately 4pm. New
cyclists are welcome to join in the challenge and anyone who wishes to support the
cycle in any way can contact Micheal on 086 347 442 for more information. Sponsorship cards will be available soon from
Club Officers for this worthy cause. We wish all cyclists the very best in
their training over the coming weeks and thank them for the effort, dedication and
time they give to training.
