Cairde Peil Acla is a new fundraising initiative that invites 300 members to join our development draw. The objective of the draw is to assist in the development of underage Gaelic football programmes for the children in our clubs. The funds generated by this initiative will be utilized to improve facilities, invest in training equipment and to support the cost of transport for the boys and girls aged under 6 up to under 18 in our Gaelic football clubs in Achill. One third of the funds will go towards supporting the clubhouse facility currently under construction at Davitt Park. Additional objectives include making children's membership more affordable for families and to alleviate the sense of donor fatigue that is often perceived from continuous fundraising for clubs in a small area such as Achill.
